Clean up time

Clean up time is your chance to take care of the area where the mother and her puppies sleep for the night.

Hopefully it’s a tiled or vinyl floor where you can mop and then rinse until completely clean.

Take this time to wash all the towels the babies have used to sleep on to pee on and to nurse on.

While everyone is asleep, run upstairs and have yourself a cup of tea and relax because in about 2 hours you have to do this all over again.

Puppies need to be fed almost hourly when first born and as they grow, the time between feedings begins to lengthen.

Keep a journal.  If all the puppies look alike, take some ribbon and label them because when you’re tired it will really help.

This little guy doesn’t look like a Doberman at all.  Do you think there was hanky panky going on in the back yard one night?

Yeah, me too.  But what can you do when you love them so much.
